Hanni El-Khatib is a dear friend of mine and that alone is enough reason for this collaboration but if you don't happen to know Hanni here it goes: Back in the day he worked with HUF as their main designer, made more dope stuff than I dare remember only to then head on out to LA and start on an incredible journey as a musician, producer and co-owner of the record label Innovative Leisure. Hanni musters more talent and craft than I could possibly hope for and it is with great delight to announce this collaboration.
The design itself is based on a 1930s Disney comic, in which Mickey gets bent out of shape about Minnie running off with another player. We changed it up a bit and then added a classic conversation from a Wolverine comic into the mix. Aesthetically, it's based on the old skate tees from the mid 90s that both Hanni and I grew up with.
